25 May 21
The aim of this virtual workshop is to identify and study the existing potentials and barriers for the development of Renewable Energy Communities in the Canary Islands, as defined in the EU Renewable Energy Directive, and to analyse them with the open participation of regional policy-makers and stakeholders.
During this workship, the main processes and barriers for the creation of Renewable Energy Communities in the Canary Islands will be identified and, in parallel, a dialogue will be generated between the main actors involved to strengthen the existing energy community experiences, bearing in mind that their implementation is still incipient.
